However, the average calculation should only be based on the actually read pages. (With or without hidden flows.)

I stand corrected: the amount of remaining time is indeed (TOT PAGES - CUR PAGE) * Time_per_page, while the number of read pages are the ones I actually read on KOReader. Good!
No need to mark anything to have the estimated remaining time.
On the other hand I will use the trick you described when I'll read one of those "Omnibus" ebooks that are actually a collection of 4-5 books.
