It’s a good theory, but I have proven it is not happening. For example, when I put my TLC down on my table, I gently lifted up the cover to see if the last page read had moved. Then I gently closed the cover. I came back a few hours later, and the book was marked as read!

You could argue that when I re-closed the cover after checking, that’s when the buttons were pressed or whatever. It’s a bit of a Schrödinger’s cat situation, isn’t it? 🤓

The only time the last page read does not move is when I close the book and exit back to the home screen. As long as the book is open/active while the sleep covers closed, the last page read will wander.
