I've just emailed the "DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion" to see if they have an app. But I don't think I'm very optimistic.

I have, however, found an online checker, The Born Accessible Content Checker (BACC) on the German website https://bacc.dzblesen.de/. This is "developed by the German Centre for Accessible Reading (dzb lesen) in Leipzig, Germany. For the validation of EPUB documents, BACC uses the Accessibility Checker for EPUB (Ace), developed by the Daisy-Consortium, and extends it with some additional features."

I've just given it a test drive with an epub2 compliant book and it has returned a comprehensive report indicating several non-compliant issues, some of which require checking out to fully understand them.

I'll give it a go with an epub3 compliant book when I've a bit more time.
