One uses USB just as the old batch file did for his PW3. The other batch file uses MTP but also removes the DRM from the files and add them to a calibre library following the instructions on NoDRM's GitHub page. After the DRM removal, the books are sent to his new Kindle PW6. The ability to only send newly added books simplified the workflow considerably. At this time, the sync is intended to be uni-directional since removing files from the calibre library is not a good idea.
For them, clicking on a single icon is a lot easier than attempting to use the keyboard and mouse due to worsening motor control issues.
As mentioned above, I am happy with calibre. OTOH, at times calibre and it's Swiss army knife approach is not as good as a simple tool and I am very happy that the OP released s2k.
