IF he is innocent of wrongdoing, and he is being falsely accused of wrongdoing, then yes indeed - his accusers are guilty of slander (or worse).

That is exactly how it works. You don't judge either side right or wrong until evidence is presented. An allegation is not evidence. A denial is not evidence. So you suspend judgement until you
have evidence. Which none of us here do, BTW.
