The only person I knew who got calibre in a docker container on their NAS to see a USB connected ereader involved plugging the ereader into the NAS not into the PC. After trying this for a while, they ended up moving the calibre install/library back to their PC and using file syncing to keep a backup copy on the NAS (basically, when calibre was closed, the sync task was started). He had learned the hard way that using network attached storage for a live calibre library was not a good idea so was trying out other methods.
