You can't use the stock KOReader zip file directly downloaded from a KOReader download site. You would need to download one of the OCP packages and inject the updated KOReader into a downloaded OCP file replacing the contents of the koreader folder. If you have already installed using the OCP, it would be easier to unpack the KOReader zip file into the .adds/koreader directory on your Kobo if you are performing an upgrade.
