That has the makings of a literary parlor game, the day jobs of writers. Actuary poet? Postal worker novelist? (That one's too easy.)
Which, especially given David Lodge's recent death, reminds me of the game played in his novel
Changing Places called Humiliation, in which literary academics admitted to books they hadn't read and scored points for each person who'd read it. One won the game with
Hamlet but then lost his job as a result.
