Hearing impairement is of course another story.

On the other hand, my hearing aids (HA) do go loud enough and it's their BT connectivity that is most interesting. It's skips the data>electronics>speakers>sound>microphone>electro nics>data steps and just sends data directly to my HA and lets them blast it quite loudly.*

It's the 3.5mm jack that needs an extra gadget to connect to my HA. And that one does need pairing with my HA.

*Does make you wonder about those sound lenses that are fitted directly onto you eardrum, so that the second stream data>electronics>receiver>sound>eardrum replaces 2 steps with one sound lens directly on the eardrum. Too bad that they are only for minor impairments.
