I've been called for jury duty 3 times. Once got to the courthouse and there was a notice on the door telling us to go home, the second time I waited around for a couple of hours with about 20 others and was told then were told they didn't need any more jurors and was sent home.

Sadly the third time, I made it onto the jury and got to enjoy days of sheer boredom while the two sides argued about whether any of the evidence was admissible. After the suspect's confession was tossed when it came out that he was interrogated for hours after asking for a lawyer while the police told him they were waiting for a lawyer to become available, the prosecution asked to be allowed to withdraw the charges and the judge and defence agreed.
