Ignore the advice to install 3.7.0 and install 3.7.3.

What you are seeing is the ePub displaying correctly and then the on the Kobo, the converted KePub showing problem because the version of KoboTouchExtended is an older buggy version. Once you upgrade to 3.7.3, you can resend your ePub to your Kobo and it will overwrite the existing KePub. So you'll keep any reading positions you have.
