Just another case of an Amazon rep spouting untruths because they are clueless and say whatever they need to say in order to end the call.

Thank you.

When I checked those books of my own in my “content and devices” page, every single one of them had “no image available” image https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....192192487_.gif
where the actual cover should be… at least for me. So I figured it did make sense the cover was the generic one when downloaded to Kindle... which raises another question.

Where do your cover images on your content page come from? Image link for my "still available" book is like this:
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/...3WHL.SX150.jpg
So, even if an author pulls books from Amazon, cover images stay on the Amazon server?
And I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I use Amazon.co.jp.

One more thing...

As I understand it, even if a book is no longer available, if you downloaded it to kindle while it was still on Amazon, then the actual cover stays. But once you delete it from Kindle and then re-download it, then I think the cover would be changed to the generic one.
