Did you see the Mesquito loader and the jailbreak text output when visiting the store? If not, you'll need to make sure you properly copied all the files and that the .active_content_sandbox/store/resource/cachedResources/index.html file on the Kindle is the same as the one in your local WinterBreak folder.
If the jailbreak ran, make sure you're putting Update_hotfix_universal.bin in the main directory of your Kindle (not a subdirectory), that you haven't disabled OTA updates using something like renameotabin, and that you're installing the hotfix using the standard "Update your Kindle" option in settings.

Yes, I do see Mesqito and the Jailbreak text. I have gotten KUAL running, but KOReader is failing to start. But, since my understanding of the hotfix is that it persists the Jailbreak across updates, and if I have disabled OTA updates, I think I should be safe?
