I decided not to wait and made a special trip into town. Had to know. It's the Oasis. I plugged it into a Windows 10 machine in my local library and nothing. Plugged in my phone and it popped right up. It even gave the make and specific model.
I have no idea what to do, but I'm going to start a new thread with any other questions I might be pondering since this is not a Calibre issue at all. However, I will probably come back and see if someone can help with installing the recent version from the calibre website, but that will be a new thread here.
