Ok. According to what you described, when you first used it this year, the book was migrated to 2025 (you certainly have the 'Migrate unfinished books' option checked). But, when you got the warning message, you removed the book from 2025's goal.
Now, to solve this, just change the book's read date column in calibre to today and add the book to your goal as usual. The warning you are getting is because the date is still in 2024, which prevents the book to be added to your 2025's goal.
