I was about to suggest precisely this. Dual-booting Linux and Windows, particularly with a single drive system, is a pain in the <ahem!> and especially with disk encryption. OP, you are using disk encryption, aren't you?
Small VM with Calibre and old versions of K4PC and ADE, and you're done.
