It also works for KFX format downloaded using the latest Kindle for Mac app, at least for now. That is because the DRM used is actually supported by DeDRM. Unfortunately books locked to a specific user/app won’t work because it is not known where the unique key associated with the new Mac app is stored.

It does not work for KFX downloaded using the latest Kindle for PC as Amazon has updated the DRM used there to something new that DeDRM cannot handle.
