I haven't received it yet, obviously. I'm happy to have a no-frontlight device. My use cases are notes at my well-lit desk, some journaling where I can easily use a lamp, sheet music where I already have a light on my music stands and piano, and reading large format PDF technical books, which I don't do in bed anyhow.  I started out with devices pre front-light, so I know what I'm signing up for. |
I am planning to root mine and install a good kernel-level firewall app for nailing down processes I don't want to have network access.
I also just wish I knew what the status is with the keyboard folio. It feels like they are drifting away from including it in their marketing and as far as I know no one has been presented with the option of purchasing one when they bought their Note Max. I purchased mine in one of the brief windows when the Boox Amazon store had it available but there was no keyboard available then either.
