Moving from an almost failed Kobo Sage. What I want most is the history from the old Sage and the read/unread status. In calibre, I have Kobo Utilities and KOReader Sync configured properly according to information I have gleaned from sources here, the KOReader Github pages, the KOReader Sync Github pages, and other places.
The most puzzling and disappointing factor in this to me is in connecting my new Sage to calibre, and learning none of the configuration I've done with respect to the old Sage is applicable to the new Sage for whatever reason. Because the USB port has almost completely failed on the old Sage has seriously limited experimentation I must ask around. I have copied the disc contents and saved to a folder on windows.
Initial experiments have resulted in failure. Efforts to copy files, folders and file contents to the new Sage directory have been useless. Once file copy is complete and the device reboots I see no evidence of any changes. Reconnecting and examining file and folder contents reinforce this conclusion.
