I am trying to convert some manga volumes I have in ePUB format into something that can be uploaded to my Kindle (so presumably Azw3). I already have the manga in epub format from the Humble Bundle I bought it in. I tried converting it to azw3 via Calibre and then upload it to my Kindle Paperwhite via USB cable. However when I try to open it on the kindle, it says the file cannot be read.

Are there settings I need to select in order to properly convert ePUB to AZW3 for a manga volume? I don’t think KCC is relevant here, as it seems to be converting into ePUB rather than from ePUB to AZW3, though I might be wrong there.

A light novel I tried converting at the same time seems to have uploaded fine to my Kindle.
