Family, especially siblings. Our 94 year old mother took a spill the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, spent 3 days in the hospital, and has been in a rehab facility since then. Nothing broken, just weak and dehydrated, and regular meals and meds have helped her a great deal. She still lives on her own. This was her first stay in the hospital except for having 4 kids. (Older brother died in 2011 at 56)

I've done the bulk of her driving for 7 years, even before she stopped driving. I've taken her to doctor appointments, the grocery, etc. Since she gave up driving 4 years ago, she only gets out of the apartment if I take her, which we try for once per week.

My sister moved 600 miles away after her husband died 3 years ago, and our younger brother is still working full time. He is 60, I'm 65, sister is 68.

I'm tired. My sister "can't stand being in this town." She "can't handle taking mom to the store." She thinks what her 2 girls do, visiting when they can, is enough. They both work full time, one has a 10 year old also. They are great but it's not their responsibility.

We've spent the past 2 weeks trying to get repairs done at the apartment, management has been great fortunately, but today is the day. We are waiting for the final work to be completed, mom expects to go home today.

I've kept a steady stream of texts going out to everyone. I get crickets from my sister. This slow burn is threatening to blow. I can't do that in front of my mom, who btw, never complains about anything.

Just venting, since my husband doesn't need to hear it again. He is amazing, making phone calls, keeping everything organized and moving. All while he waits for back surgery and deals with horrible pain.

Rant mostly over.
