I disagree and enjoyed Lynch's Dune. If you have three hours to spare, check out the Spicediver edit of Dune. For me, it is the best filmed version of Dune out there: Dune: The Spicediver Edit

It was available on YouTube for years and has just recently been blocked. Hopefully that means that Universal is cleaning it up for an official release.
