Most Kindle users, almost certainly. Most Kindle users who are MR members? Not so sure about that...
As to the warning about the PW6, it is valid if the poster plans to sell/give away/trade in their older Kindle and use only the PW6, AND also buys most of their ebooks from Amazon. It will be much more difficult to liberate their purchases then. Of course, buying an ereader of another brand won't help with liberating Amazon ebooks either. But buying a PW5 instead of PW6 (like the OP wants to do) would certainly help.
