I just now was able to download an ebook from Kobo to ADE 2.0 then drag the new ebook from the ADE 2.0 Library to the Kobo ereader and it appears to be on the Kobo ereader in good shape.

This suggests that the ADE 2.0 folder was corrupted and the new folder might allow ADE 2.0 to start working like it should.

Any thoughts?

Fingers crossed.
The problem with ADE is that is keeps everything in the same directory. So even if you delete something or return it to the library, it stays in the library. It just removed it from the file that keeps a list of your library. The other thing is that when the ADE library directory gets full enough, it can really be slow to run ADE as it spends time reading that directory fill of eBooks. So the wa to fix the slow down is to either delete the existing directory or rename the existing directory.
