I cannot recommend any Paperwhite.

The problem is that the 2021 PW5 is no longer available new and the refurbished ones are expensive.

The 2024 PW6 takes away Download & Transfer via USB and is limited due to MTP.

Amazon is trying to keep you in their walled garden and buying a Paperwhite is tossing good money at a bad Reader.
