Thanks for replying. I'm aware of that and this is what I'm doing. But even though all my other custom columns appear in the jacket which is created either by polishing or by converting, the composite custom column for author notes is missing.
I'm using the same custom template I was using on my old PC (I had a backup of the template) and the custom column names are all the same as they were.
That's why I'm asking if I've missed something else or maybe Calibre itself somehow changed recently and support for that has been dropped.
