I haven't. Or rather, I haven't noticed any problems with the battery life on my Libra color that I didn't notice on my previous kobos.

I can charge my kobo (any of them) full and it will stay full for days.
And then overnight it will drop from 99% to 10% and it seems even when I charge it it won't stay charged. Reboot and give it a full charge and the problem goes away. (Also, reading a 600 page book will do this, but that's kinda expected.)

I think there are background tasks causing this. Possibly the same ones that cause the database corruption when you plug in USB and let calibre mess with the database.
I think the background tasks get stuck and chew cpu until the battery is (nearly?) dead.

I know wifi eats a lot of power, but normally wifi is turned off automatically when idle.
if sync gets stuck, it keeps the wifi on until the battery is nearly dead. I see sync get stuck often and it can't be canceled sometimes. Turn off wifi and _then_ reboot is the best way to fix that.

I think there use to be a bug in pdf search where the search would continue running even after you closed the book. I think (hope) that bug is long gone but sometimes I'm not sure.

I don't know what else would chew cpu and eat the battery but I'm sure there's something I've missed.

It's also possible to abuse your battery so that it won't take a charge anymore.
And sometimes batteries fail even when you treat them well.

So it could be software issue or hardware issue.
