I have a brand new Kindle PW5 SE running 5.15.1.1. It's just arrived so I haven't connected it to WiFi (trying to avoid OTA updates that would prevent me from jailbreaking) and haven't registered it yet to my Amazon account.

When jailbreaking this device...

Should I register the device before attempting to jailbreak it?
Should I manually update the FW to 5.16.2.1.1 prior to attempting to jailbreak it?
If I should update the FW, should the FW be updated before registering? or after?

I appreciate any assistance in answering these questions.
