Back then I just bought an elderly Kindle cheaply on Ebay. D&T still works and it's been well worth it to me for the convenience. When it stops working I'll just move on to the next least-annoying method to obtain ebooks. Amazon will lose my business. They won't care. They won't even notice.

I still do remain mildly puzzled about why Amazon is spending the time and expense on this crusade to drive off what must be a tiny percentage of their ebook customers.
