I have found I much prefer the Highlight and Note functions on a tablet compared to my Kindle Paperwhite. (I need a swipe keyboard.)
Prior to this transition, I was reading EPUBs on my Android tablet using FBReader. I liked its ability to upload books to Google Drive and the ability to quickly see metadata and summary in Book Info.
When I read Kindle books I enjoy the Time Left in Chapter.
If I convert an EPUB to AZW3 in Calibre and sideload it to my Kindle Fire I get:
• Time Left in Chapter
but I do not get:
• Page Flip
When I send an EPUB to Kindle on my Fire I get:
• Page Flip

• Time Left in Chapter
Is there a straightforward way to get both when I read EPUBs on my Fire tablet?
Similarly, is there a way to migrate metadata to Kindle’s About this Book?

You need to convert to KFX to get Page Flip (KFX Output plugin) and other 'Enhanced Typography' features. (KFX is not just one format, it includes both re-flowable and fixed-content formats.)
