And what screams at me about Kindle refurbs is that you don’t get a new battery. They charge it for you. So what exactly does “refurbished” mean? A charge and a bit of a wipe? It’s nuts.

I thought a refurbished Kindle meant you got a new battery. I know you get a new battery with a refurbished iPhone.
Is there a way on a non-jailbroken Kindle to get the battery stats to see how good (or not) the battery is?
