Perhaps you read the second message in this thread? It is not a deep dark secret that the Kobo/Pocket integration only handles articles not web pages.

My personal choice for the occasional web page that I want to read on my Kobos is using a calibre recipe and then running some saved search/replace items in Sigil to clean up the content. If I want to read a web page live, either a computer or a tablet (iPad Pro) works well and without the issues with those web page designers who seem to feel that at least 80% of the content has to be animated.
