I too am left-handed, and I have the same"have to flip it first" issue with both my Sage and my Libra H20. I setup my wife's new Libra Colour yesterday and noted the same thing. I've been doing it for so many years now, it no longer bothers me - it's just part of the power-on ritual.

One thing I will say about the Sage is that I do not think it was "designed to used with a power cover". I think the power cover was cynical marketing ploy to address the Sage's weak battery life. That said, by leaving WiFi off, I can easily get through a day's reading without charging, then leave it charging while I sleep. As I only use it at home, it's never in its case, and I find the weight tolerable. For all its weak points, it remains my number one reader, and having seen (and been impressed by) my wife's Libra Colour, that ain't gonna change soon. I fact, if I do get a new reader soonsih, it will be a new Sage, to see if a brand new one has a stronger battery than my 4-year old model.
