I have managed to read the discussion (Firefox translate works well) and the images do show even without logging in, but thanks for providing them!
So, obviously these are compressed and reduced-quality photos, but even so, while the person who took the photos seems adamant that there is a big difference between stock and KOReader, I can't see that much of a difference between the two photos.
Yes, the letters on KOReader do look a bit more black, but just a bit. It's nowhere near like looking at a Kobo or Kindle, unfortunately.
This helps greatly as it now steers me further away from choosing an Inkpad 4 and into Kobo Sage territory.
