It really makes no difference because it's a marginal change from Carta 1200. They could as easily relaunch the existing Libra 2. Or an updated version of it. Not everyone wants 8″ and the colour 7″ is inferior for novels, which is most of the reason for eink, and unusable without front light, and being able to read in ordinary ambient light with no frontlight etc is the biggest advantage of eink.
What matters is the OEM price.
