I agree and I don't have the need to be an early adopter either. If my Oasis went belly up, I'd probably get a new Kindle PW signature. It reviews are pretty good. If I want color, I'll use my iPad mini.

Edit: Shipping date for an order has now moved out to Nov 20-29. I'm sure they are going to replace defective ones first.
