We continue to swing back and forth between late summer and early winter. Yesterday we were just a bit chillier than normal; today, we're back to June. The high temperature today was 74°F, it was mostly sunny with just a few clouds and an occasional breeze. The forecast for tomorrow says we should reach the low 80s, before falling back to the low 60s for the weekend.

We haven't had any measurable rain in more than a month. The dry spell meant good fall colors in the trees, but the leaves fell early. Bright sun, dry leaves and steady breezes makes a good recipe for forest fires. We've had a few small ones so far. The forecast says we might get some rain next week. No one likes a cold November rain, but I've got my fingers crossed!
