I found a Kobo Vox, discarded in the bin (dumpster). It seems to be a cheap Android tablet (not an e-reader). I don't mind cheap Android tablets if the device has some unique qualities. But I wonder if this has any.

The English and French User Guides result in
Invalid URL links. The coveted Declaration Of Conformity document is the same. I demand better support for my free bin-sourced possession. Seriously though, how much would it cost them to host these documents?
Is there any reason to keep this device in 2024? What excites me more than any other thing is Custom Firmware, so all the Google Android spyware can be gone (search for Google Location Tracking Settlement for hints; Apple do the same thing). I will not be reading books on this thing but I am very interested in any unique qualities this device might have. Does it? The battery is so bad on this thing that even with a cable attached, it insists on shutting down. So I can't really test it without a replacement battery. I love the fact that the back cover pops off easily to make that fairly painless.
