Avoid Kobo switching to PowerSafe/Hibernate mode

Since a few days I'm using einkvnc for lengthy sessions, where my Kobo Elipsa2e serves as screen.

Now I have to touch the screen every 10 minutes or so, to avoid the enabling of the power-safe mode on my Kobo. Which will shut down the W-LAN device and therefore break my running VNC session.

Is there a known procedure to keep the Kobo alive? E.g. by running a process over SSH in parallel?
