Basically, that is what I did since the original install was on my laptop but I moved calibre to my desktop. After doing so, I found I still used my laptop more for downloading ebooks. Admittedly, not something that everybody will do.

Perhaps Jon will want to write up a how-to guide for doing so based on what is found on NoDRM's GitHub

I thought the DeDRM help was fairly clear where it says:

I used the procedure mentioned under the Linux section to generate the keys that I used on the new computer. Nothing wrong with running code intended for Wine under Windows.
