I'd have to dig out my mini scale to see. But quite a bit. First, there is the magnets themselves, but also 90% of the back cover. I just did the same to the cover on my new Go6, which is exactly the same as far as case, cover and magnets go.

The photos on that thread show which magnets to remove. The front cover, which you don't modify has 5 thin magnets (one for the Hall sensor). You can leave 4 magnets in the case. With 4 magnets the front cover closes as firmly as the stock cover. Some people might cut the case magnets down to two.
