Device: Kindle Paperwhite 5 16GB, Kindle Paperwhite 6, Kobo Clara,
For some reason when I connect my PW6 it now isn't showing up in Calibre, even though OpenMTP isn't running. When I press the "disconnect" icon on the device's screen, Calibre gives this error message:

calibre, version 7.20.0
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

Failed to get storage info for device.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "calibre/gui2/device.py", line 112, in run
File "calibre/gui2/device.py", line 532, in _get_device_information
File "calibre/devices/mtp/base.py", line 24, in synchronizer
File "calibre/devices/mtp/unix/driver.py", line 358, in free_space
libmtp.MTPError: Failed to get storage info for device.

I'm confused as to why Calibre recognised the device yesterday but isn't detecting it today.

Update: it seems that it takes some time for the PW6 to be recognised by Calibre. I opened Calibre, plugged in the Kindle, without OpenMTP open as per instructions, waited a bit and it showed up.
