Nope, nothing you can do (if Calibre has successfully transfered over apnx files and Kindle is just not using it).

I've first noticed that Kindle for Android app doesn't have option to use page as progress indicator (but at the same time does show "page X of Y" text when it shows that page preview thing) and also doesn't have "time left im chapter" for PDOCs in KFX format while for the same book Kindle PW5 with firmware 5.15.1 had both pages and time left in chapter. Books from Kindle Store (= EBOK KFX) had both of those 2 missing progress indicator options.

And at some later time I either read somewhere that newer Kindle firmware has matched behaviour of Kindle Android app or I've tested that after updating my PW5 to 5.16.2.1.1 in order to jailbreak it and then realised that the behavior changed and now matched the bug? in Kindle for Android app.

So, your options are to maybe ask someone that has already updated to latest firmware 5.17.1 to check if it maaaaybe fixes that (if it's a bug and not something that Amazon devs done intentionally!) or keep your Oasis offline and wait for new jailbreak method to be released (should happen soon) and when it's released to jailbreak your Kindle and then "downgrade" back to and older firmware that doesn't have that "pages bug".

@j.p.s The issues I've just described above happens with KFX files and there page map info is embedded inside KFX file, KFX doesn't use external .apnx files.
When you email or use Send-to-Kindle an epub file Amazon servers deliver a KFX PDOC that has some kind of generated page mapping even when the original epub didn't have PageMap or PageList (that is normally used to generate apnx files for retail books and by KFX Output plugin / Kindle Preview for KFX) .

For Calibre + KFX Output plugin generated KFX you can choose go make them not be PDOC type and to generated page count mapping that matches a numerical value from a custom column. That worked ( = had page count) with older Kindle firmware.. Can't recall when was the last time I tested those type of KFX files in Kindle for Android.

I actually don't use Android app for reading books nor do I use stock reading software on my Kindle PW5. I use KOReader and read epubs I only "play" with native Kindle formats and software when I need to test something for some other people.
Last time I played around with KFX format was when Amazon started using KFX for PDOCs and I wanted to test if "add soft hyphens into epub you're sending to Amazon servers for conversion" trick would work to have hyphenation in KFX file for books in unsupported languages. And it does work Like it also did for years with azw3/KF8 PDOCs
