Add a custom column: (type of) Series

That said. When/where do you stop? 1 more column, 42 series columns (My library has collections from many Authors that contain stories that belong to their series. At some point, chasing this will fail.
FWIW I am referring to the Positional (series-index) tracking in a series

I do have a second series column for when 2 series get bridged. eg Joanna Brady[14] and J. P. Beaumont [19]

But I use hierarchical for spinoff and don't place (index) them in the parent: Pern.Harper Hall

When the count gets to 3+, I The Primary {series} Gets set to: <various> [0] and my favorite is set in the secondary

At some point any plan will fail (or just become unwieldly)

What Calibre lacks is the ability to have the OPTION of same Lookup Table for all of a type of a column.
In my case, I have 2 Series type and 2 Authors type. I would love to use the standard ones as the lookups (the pulldown when you type) for the other (keeps the spelling the same)
