I still prefer Notepad++ but Notepad maintains CR/LF, CR or LF EOLs in most cases. A simple edit of Kobo eReader.conf is not one of those odd cases on an up to date Windows 10/11 computer.

Personally, I still recommend Notepad++ since I don't trust people to be using a system updated to the newer Notepad.
