I'd summarise my thoughts like that concerning the new Kindles :
I'd say it's a deceiving refresh of the PaperWhite ; the Color Soft is a counter offer to the existing offer on the market with nothing new as far as the Kindle ecosystem is concerned.
I think one of the reasons for the PW6 is that the PW5 was using a 6.8" screen and it's possible that the 6.8" screen being not much used were costing more then the 7" screen now used in the PW6.
