It's the supermarket principle, isn't it. If you have to trawl through pages of irrelevant content to get the specific thing you are after, then you are likely to impulse buy. It's one of the reasons I loathe online storefronts, especially ones that don't allow you to drill down into the results. Ebay is better than most, don't get me started on the Kindle store or Etsy.
