As someone who owns Oasis 2, Kobo Sage, and a Pocketbook Era, I'd say that the Kobo UI is easiest to learn between Kobo and Pocketbook.
Pocketbook is a little tougher, because there are quite a few customization options, but overall, the basic reading interface is not bad at all. There are really nice options for sorting one's library. And the audiobook support and TTS can be useful.
With Pocketbook, you'll definitely want to learn to remove DRM, so you can shop where you want. But once you can do that, between the Pocketbook Cloud or Dropbox, getting books on the device is pretty easy.
Meanwhile, enjoy your Oasis, and who knows what'll be out when it dies. New learnings are good for our brains, after all!
