It being faster (when it comes to page turns) could also be down to it using Carta 1300.

I saw a video of a guy doing rapid page turns on the new Paperwhite and the speed was really something. Each page was clearly rendered in the part of a second it was displayed.
I have a Clara BW with a Carta 1300 and rapid page turns aren't nearly as impressive. The text gets mushed and mixed when I rapidly turn pages.
In the end though, it's kind of a trick without a purpose. How often do I rapidly flick through a book? And when I do, does the state of text on the screen for a part of a second really matter?
