Understood I will look around for patches and such. Is there a good place to get started on developing my own patch for some changes?

For the kernel, I was under the impression Inkbox was a replacement. Inkbox seems much more open to modification, so I was looking into that. However, Libra Colour does not seem to be a candidate. For the previously mentioned reasons. Is that incorrect?
